Railport Arad is one of the most modern and important intermodal terminals in Romania, located within the Curtici Cargo Center. The terminal is owned by Trade Trans Group (71%) and Rail Cargo Group (29%), two entities with extensive experience in the transport and logistics sector. Following an initial investment of 11 million euros, Railport Arad was expanded in 2016 through an additional project worth 9 million euros, leading to increased operational capacity and optimized logistics flow. 

With a total area of 10.3 hectares, of which 9 hectares are dedicated to operational activities, the terminal has a storage capacity of 3,000 TEU (twenty-foot equivalent units). Its railway infrastructure consists of five rail tracks, each over 600 meters long and equipped with cranes, as well as two additional tracks designated for train set parking. To handle intermodal transport units, Railport Arad is equipped with four RTG cranes and three reach stackers, ensuring an annual handling capacity of approximately 180,000 units. 

Located on the pan-European Orient/East-Med rail freight corridor (RFC 7), the terminal enjoys a strategic position near Curtici station, the most important rail border crossing point between Romania and Hungary. Additionally, it is situated 15 kilometers from Arad and 20 kilometers from the A1 highway, enabling quick access to the region’s major road transport routes.
